A monarch in Benue State, Daniel Abomtse, has urged President Mohammadu Buhari to order the armed forces to deal with the killer herdsmen in the country.The monarch made the appeal in Makurdi at a conference on “Herdsmen and Farmers’ Conflict in Central Nigeria.”

The forum was organised by the Center for Research and Management at the Benue State University.According to the Ter Ityoshin, those herdsmen who go about killing and destroying people’s property were criminals

We will quit begging if empowered, beggars tell government

The Arewa Freedom of Blind Association of Nigeria (AFBN) at the weekend said their members are ready to quit begging on Kaduna streets only if the state government would empower them to be gainfully employed, since many of them are educated.

The plea by the beggars to be absorbed into the government’s workforce was made at Ungwan Rimi, Darika Mosque. They also said some members of the association have learnt one or two crafts and would only require grants for business startup.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, says that eligible candidates for its 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, can now purchase the pin for registration using the Remita mode.

The board said on Sunday the development came on the heels of the reported challenges the candidates faced in an attempt to acquire the pins from NIPOST and the designated banks.

Masquerade beat seminarian to coma in Nsukka

The Catholic Diocese of Nsukka in Enugu State, on Sunday, expressed anger over the attack on a seminarian by a group of masquerades, popularly called “oriokpa Nsukka”, in the area.

Saraki Aide Speaks On Stolen 310 Million Naira

The Media Office of the Senate President says that the stolen N310 Million was never stolen from Saraki’s House and insisted that he had nothing to do with it.
